Membership in the Council of Ghanaian Associations (COGA) is open to all established Ghanaian organizations in the Washington Metropolitan area whose members hail from a district, region, nationally-based or multi ethnic.

In addition to the submission of a duly completed Application Form to COGA, and the payment of a non-refundable $50.00 membership application fee, the prospective member must:

1. Be sponsored by two of COGA's member-organizations in good standing. Such sponsorship must be in writing on the sponsor's letterhead, and shall bear the signature of its Chairman/President or Vice-Chairman/Vice-President.
2. Submit a copy of your ratified Constitution and/or By-Laws.
3. Submit its current membership roster/directory, reflecting a membership of at least 25 people.
